ST LOUIS -- To close out the regular season, two Panthers have picked up weekly awards from the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) staff.
For the sixth time this year, redshirt junior Samantha Heyer has been named the MVC Pitcher of the Week. Along with Heyer's honor, another member of UNI's pitching staff was recognized by the conference office. Redshirt freshman Anna Wischnowski has been named the final MVC Newcomer of the Week for her three appearances in the circle for the Panthers.
Heyer capped off the final weekend of her second full season in the circle for the Panthers with a major accomplishment not seen by the program in almost a decade.
